20090115 - Minimal Communication

For the Flash Us and Minimalism challenges for January.

And for TITTC: Communication

Tried making a really small snoot out of tin-foil to highlight the pen... more work needed I think! Should've cleaned the pen too, but it's a bit past its best anyway :(

Looking back, think I may as well have just done it in Photoshop :(

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
1/200s f/6.3 at 100.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

sue anne15-Jan-2009 23:26
Very nicely done, minimal and writing too. (This is better done than in Photoshop. ;) )
Ric Yates15-Jan-2009 22:30
Great take on the challenge - lovely minimal shot as well!
Kathryn15-Jan-2009 22:26
Looks like a well used pen - you just
can't beat letter writing this way.
jlm15-Jan-2009 22:25
Wow! Where is my "bic" ?
Doug Cruden15-Jan-2009 22:09
I like it the way it is, Phil - the shallow DoF and the lighting give this a really ethereal quality, it's almost mysterious!
Is that your sig though? I thought you were doodling IEC 5009 (you know, the symbol for 'off' or 'standby'....)
Guest 15-Jan-2009 21:06
