20080825 - Cherries

For the Achromatic August theme.

Feeling Fruity!

Processing: 1st off a LOT of cloning out of bits of kitchen-paper lint, sigh, should've found something better to polish them with!!! Channel mixer using mainly the red channel for b&w, then a composite layer on top in hard-light mode at 85% for extra contrast.

It's the pits that take so long to upload. They have to squeeze through the tubes ;o)
Beautiful composition and detail on the skin.

Don't know who came up with B/W August, the weather is bad enough. I would love to see these cherries in full colour. Thanks for your encouraging comments - much appreciated. (I know I have a long way to go)
Laryl25-Aug-2008 22:37

Picture perfect, but not nearly enough for a full meal. Perhaps a late evening snackette *scampers off into kitchen*

Very nice composition
A couple of drops of water could also be used
I like the hint of a shadow below the cherries

Part of your five a day? Nicely done.
Ann...25-Aug-2008 18:39
I love the high key, it gives the cherries a 3D look.
Nancy Lobaugh25-Aug-2008 18:29
yummy... and all this time I thought the lint was important because it added some necessary roughage
Guest 25-Aug-2008 18:20
Makes my mouth water...
laine8225-Aug-2008 18:11
