A glorious palette of red and deep blue suffused the sky over beautiful Loch Druim Suardalain near Loch Inver. Some hail laden clouds billowed over the loch obscuring the striking peak of Suilven. Tempted to wait for the cloud to pass from the peak though I was I realised I would never forgive myself if I let that magnificent light wither and die for the sake of it's possible appearance in my finished image. It proved to be the right decision lighting most assuredly took precedence over subject.
