Uttakliev is Lofoten's answer to the Isle of Skye's Elgol and has similar popularity especially for landscape photographers. It is worthy of it's status, black smoother and sculpted stones mixed with lighter rock with rockpools that burst with colourful dislays of red and green algae. It also is blessed with a ridiculously impressive backdrop of sharp edged mountain peaks that tend to remain snowcapped even in late Spring. I shot this when a tiny hole opened in the sky and golden sunlight streamed through painting the wet rocks gold.
