For some reason, I can only assume because of the damp and humidity, this little glade by the river at Lael develops mosses at a staggering rate which covers every tree around in a thick woolly coat of the most vibrant green moss imaginable. In early Spring the colours seem to max out whilst the blanket of old fallen beech leaves coated in moisture around the base of the trees are of an equal and opposite strong hue. The colour palette almost hurts the eyes and Velvia film, a white overhead sky and a polariser to remove spurious reflections exaggerate it still further.
