Bréhat island (Breton: Enez Vriad) is only 10 minutes by ferry shuttle (3 km.) from the port of L'Arcouest on the mainland.
The island is 3,5 km. long, by 800 to 1200 meters wide. It is an archipelago composed of two main islands and many smaller ones. It is known for its pink granite rocks, mild climate and Mediterranean vegetation, due to the warm Gulf Stream.
