Tim always sits on the right side of the sofa (in this picture) in the evenings and on Saturday mornings, when he goes through cookbooks to decide what to make for dinner on the weekend. Queenie is free to lie there on weekdays, when Tim is at work. But today she decided that she had rights to the couch, forcing Tim to sit in an inconvenient chair instead. She always used to look at me for permission to jump up on the sofa late in the evening, after Tim goes upstairs, but recently she’s stopped asking and thinks she can use it whenever she wants. Which I guess she can.
