Just can’t let go of that plate

We don’t normally feed Queenie table scraps but have been a bit lenient during the holidays (with turkey, prime rib and most recently ham). Tim gave her this empty plate, but she obviously didn’t want to let go of it even after licking it clean. I have similar pictures in which she has both paws on the plate and also on a cutting board. Now that the holidays are over, I think we’ll be going back to our previous policy of no table scraps for the ever-hungry Queenie.

LOL. It looks like she collapsed in a food coma.

She is dreaming of all those delicious meals she got over the holidays.

LOL, I have a cat that does this. How cute!

Turkey, prime rib and ham and now you want me to go back to "dog food"? Good luck with that...

Good luck going back! You'll have to keep those plates well out of her reach now.

A lovely, sweet dog she is. It is difficult to get a dog on a weight loss program.

I'm guessing that she will eventually find a way for you to fill that plate for her.

Oh that is so adorable! MY plate, I'm sure she is thinking! She and Cleo would get on because they share the same endless capacity to eat!!! V

Ha, cute. Callie listens for the clink of my spoon on the bowl in the morning, so she can clean the oatmeal and blueberries from my breakfast. Who needs a dishwasher?

So funny, I know that she'll look at you with big sad eyes and maybe a little whimper and she'll get what she wants.
Mairéad08-Jan-2024 20:16
Good luck with that one!
I think she's giving it a pre-wash.
