Royal holiday greetings

Imagine my surprise when Tim handed me a holiday card from the King and Queen of Jordan! No kidding – it was hand addressed to him and must have been delivered by the Jordanian Embassy in Washington. The front of the card features a beautiful piece of Palestinian embroidery (see below, photographed at a different time of day so color is different), I assume because Jordan hosts some 2 million Palestinian refugees, who have become part of the fabric of the country.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

A very nice gesture, indeed! No airs and graces (i.e. titles) either. A thoroughly modern monarchy.
