The curious sparrow

Seen on our gutter last year. I simply haven’t had any time to take pictures of the sparrows who are around now. I really should try to before the trees leaf out, when they’re almost impossible to see. I did see a hawk in my neighbor’s tree last week but as soon as I quietly opened our inner kitchen door, he took off.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

Great sparrow portrait, we reared a sparrow that had fallen from a nest that I found as a small child. We had to let it go 3 times as it kept coming back. The last time we drove a distance away from the house and when we left it flew after the car, but once we hit 40 mph it couldn't keep up, and I never saw it again.

Such a neat view of this guy! From the thumb, I thought it was a hawk.
