Still waiting for winter

We’ve had some cold days and some freezing days and some light snow this winter, but we’ve also had a number of 65-70 degree days as well. We actually pulled the mesh protecting the bulbs from squirrels out of the garden several weeks ago because the bulbs were beginning to sprout then. Soon the tulips will be blooming! Amazing.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Wow! Unbelievable that your spring bulbs are already producing leaves. Here, we just have dull, brown Winter.

That’s refreshing to see. It is so cold here in NY. V

Here, too. The bulbs and trees are blossoming. Temps in the 60s. Nice illustrative shot! V

Yes, Spring is beginning to spring here too... loads of rain, warm temps... Looks like it won't be long before you'll get color.

Nice to see the bulbs growing Helen...we have had the mildest winter ever with just one day of snow and hardly any frost...but rain and more rain, grey and gloomy days...But this week the sun has been a welcome sight if only for a few hours a day...BV

Climate change? I’m not sure whether ‘warmer than average’ is good news or not these days. V.

It’s pretty much the same here in the U.K., Helen, though we are due some snow soon! V
Hank Vander Velde08-Feb-2020 20:52
You are lucky Helen. We still have a few feet of snow covering our Spring bulbs.

Oh, so unfair to see your garden the day after we’ve had a big snowfall and it feels like-22F today!
joseantonio08-Feb-2020 19:25
