Confrontation

And back at the bird feeder, a confrontation. I always thought of sparrows as being sweet little birds, but they do seem to be pretty confrontational, or at least defensive.

Former funeral home (1896), now a private residence, posted earlier

When it comes to food... most birds get territorial :-) Terrific shot! V

lots of seeds to go around, but there seems a lack of solidarity, and patience...admire your crisp capture..

Very clear image. Sparrows are quarrelsome and do not let their place when they are eating ! V

I had thought that the sparrows were sweet, but then I saw a gang of sparrows kill another sparrow. It was really violent and shocking. This is an excellent catch of the dispute! V

Bird feeders do seem to elicit bad behavior - maybe the greed of 'plenty'...

Confrontations at the feeder seem to be a fact of life for most bird species - at least the ones at our feeder! This is a lively and sharp image. V
