Spring comes to Northern Virginia

Not a great capture, but the street was busy, and some car was trying to turn into the alley but wouldn’t until I took my picture and got out of their way (which I wasn’t). I don’t know what these trees are, but they were all over Arlington in Northern Virginia, just across the river from the District.

About an hour after this was taken, we were trying to get back to DC ahead of a big storm with 60 mph winds, thunder, lightning, enormous hail and torrential rain.

Oh, that is beautiful, and a very hopeful sign of spring. I hope the rain and hail did not knock down all those petals. V
