Pouring into the streets

The march is over, and the estimated half million people who descended on the city are gone, but their spirit and determination will live on for a very long time. I don’t believe the new administration officially took note of it, although they did see fit to issue angry and factually questionable statements that Inauguration Day drew the largest crowds in history. Trump finally tweeted about the march on Sunday, saying: “Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election. Why didn’t these people vote?” Shortly after that he did, as if in an advised afterthought, say he recognized the rights of people to express their views. He then went on to boast about TV ratings for the day before…

In any case, it may be over, but I’m going to post my last pictures from this historic event to honor the women who came from all corners of the country to protest and make their voices heard. I hope they continue to be heard over the next four years.

Another fantastic and documentary shot of this historic occasion which cannot be ruined by the bombastic rantings of you know who! V
