Lotus leaf and water

This might look a bit strange now, but it was a pool of water that had gathered in a big lotus leaf, sparkling in the sun.

Almost nothing repeals water more than a lotus leaf. Researchers (Microbiology etc.) are trying to find out how as it would open countless new applications. great catch Helen
