Car of the future?

There was a Tesla meeting going on at our hotel, and several of these electric cars were parked out in front. I had never even heard of them before, but Tim was pretty impressed to see them. We spoke to the driver of this one, who (after seeing Tim’s BMW hat) said they hoped to revolutionize the auto industry and that we should invest in the company.

I have yet to take any “serious” pictures in either DC or Portland (no time, no energy, no opportunity), so am just posting snaps from here and there before going back to my Saudi galleries. We are going to the Rose Festival on Saturday, so if it doesn’t rain (a big if!) I might be able to get some shots from that.

Yes, these are a marvel of engineering and it pushes the all electric car envelope. Not too mention they look so good and go so fast too. I'm tempted to go for a test drive. V

Lots of Teslas here in the SF Bay Area. One of the few electric vehicles that look like a normal vehicle & is practical-has usable space. Most are goofy looking with not much interior space, Leaf, BMW (useless rear seats not to mention butt ugly), Kia is one manufacture who bucked the trend and used an existing model and stuck an electric engine in it. Tesla is making the headlines with their self-driving feature did not function and driver was killed when the car failed to stop... Nice capture of the Tesla

There are a few Tesla owners here in Sugar Land.. I believe there was a recent crash when one of their self-driving cars failed to stop. V

At present, they are really expensive, but in time they may become far more affordable. A lovely shiny candy red. V
