Karaouiyine Mosque

The Karaouiyine Mosque was established in 859 and is one of the oldest and most illustrious mosques in the western Muslim world. It was also the first university to be founded in Morocco and still remains the seat of the Muslim university of Fes.

The mosque complex, viewed from a restaurant terrace. It’s famous for its green pitched roofs, and I must say, they were beautiful.
