The Karaouiyine Mosque was established in 859 and is one of the oldest and most illustrious mosques in the western Muslim world. It was also the first university to be founded in Morocco and still remains the seat of the Muslim university of Fes.

This repeats part of what’s in the picture below, but I just thought this door was exquisite, and these two pictures were all I was able to get of the interior of the mosque since non-Muslims were not allowed entry.
