Fountains of Hajer Garden (2)

I went back to Hajer Garden after an absence of over a year to see how it was looking these days. Actually, if I could climb the wall on our property, I would be in the park itself since we border it, but I never seem to visit it because I can’t scale the wall so have to walk all the way around the block and down a street full of heavy equipment and migrant laborers (who always stop to gawk when any woman passes by, in an abaya or not), not the most pleasant stroll.

Anyway, I finally made the journey on a day off from work, and was amazed to see how many fountains were in the garden, and all of them operating except one very large, contemporary one that is being repaired. I really should go there more often because it’s a lovely, refreshing space.

Looks like a mini Stonehenge! The walk does sound like a drag though. V

Very impressive stonework, the inconvenience was worth to go there, but you'd better cut a whole on the wall of your garden and make a door built in:) Nicely captured with this low angle light, Helen. V

The sun on the rocks is so warm and inviting, Helen. Shame you have to walk the walk and cannot scale the wall to your own private garden lol..BV

Pretty detail in the walk.

Construction sites, no matter where, have their share of gawkers.
I really like the stone circle and walkway pattern, but what I like best is the low, warm sunlight and shadows. V

You need a ladder in order, not to elope, but to visit the park. I'm sure the men would gawp even more at the sight of a woman climbing a wall, so I guess it's a distant dream...

It's indeed a very inviting place. I also love the pattern in the walkway.
