Fountains of Hajer Garden (1)

I went back to Hajer Garden after an absence of over a year to see how it was looking these days. Actually, if I could climb the wall on our property, I would be in the park itself since we border it, but I never seem to visit it because I can’t scale the wall so have to walk all the way around the block and down a street full of heavy equipment and migrant laborers (who always stop to gawk when any woman passes by, in an abaya or not), not the most pleasant stroll.

Anyway, I finally made the journey on a day off from work, and was amazed to see how many fountains were in the garden, and all of them operating except one very large, contemporary one that is being repaired (barely visible in the left background). I really should go there more often because it’s a lovely, refreshing space.

I could have some serious photographic fun at a place like this. What great shapes to play with. Your image is a wonderful example of that. ~BV~

This does look like a most inviting park - it is so strange that more people don't make use of it. Lovely balanced shot V

I see a theme of circles that is interesting!

It's a great place to rest, but I would have chosen for a different kind of chairs or benches, something more natural.

It is a fascinating place with that bronzed orb in the foreground and the "standing stones" behind. Exceptionally good shot! V

Looks familiar! We have exactly the same kind of fountain in my home town. And yes, looks like a refreshing place. V
