After enervating days out seeing the sights in the heat and extreme humidity, we have been spending some time in the pool and beach area of our hotel, the Al Bustan Palace, situated on the Gulf of Oman.

I can’t believe it’s already time to leave, but we fly out this evening at close to midnight and get back to Riyadh at around 3 a.m. I hope Sahraa doesn’t want to go for a walk!

This has been a wonderful but all too short holiday in Oman, a place I’d like to return to. We spent all our time in Muscat, the capital, but it’s a large country, and there’s much more to see.
