Smiling eyes

As our group was trying to get through the very crowded souk in the Jeddah pavilion, this woman stopped me and asked me to take her picture. I was literally floored, given how most women here are hesitant to be photographed. I made sure I had understood her correctly and then gratefully photographed her. Life here is full of pleasant surprises like that!

Another picture posted earlier today that I particularly like:

Nikon D800 ,Nikkor AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G ED

Somehow the sunglasses and abaya made an odd combination. Her friendliness exudes through those smiling eyes - nice, warm shot V

Are you sure this woman wasn't American? Look at the cameras, glasses on top of her head, backpack, etc.! This is a cool and fun shot! BV
I hope that you've bought one of the ornate jewelry headpieces for yourself! They're so pretty! :)
