COMMON LOONS - 9 week old young loon from 1st fam of Loons observed. Only one of two young remains. The young loon is getting quite large. At one point, when I first arrived, it almost ran on the water flapping its wings as it hurried to get to Mom, as though it was trying to get airborn.(Shot 5 of 5)
