One image of a juvenile Pine Marten. As soon as we got to the area where there was a large suet feeder, my friend spotted two Pine Martens. One, an adult, hanging off the feeder trying to get the last bit of suet left. The other, a juvenile was also trying to get to the feeder but was repeatedly rebuffed by the adult who was constantly baring its teeth and chase the youngster away. At one point the adult chased the juvenile right to the top of a tall Pine tree causing the youngster to jump/fall some 15 meters (40 - 50 feet) to the snow covered ground below. The adult also bared its powerful/long teeth to us, thus letting us know not to come too close.
In the above image, junior is giving us a look-over, allowing for some good photo-ops.
