The post office was built in 1478 and is the oldest in England.
It was used to decorate special issue stamps in 1997 to celebrate the centenary of the Federation of Sub-postmasters, one of only four post offices to be used.
On the first floor there is a 16th Century ceiling decorated with fleur-de-lys.
