In the series the gate opened from the center and looked much
bigger than it does in real life. Its a part of Hollywood Magic!

The building seen here to the left of the gate was probably what Higgins called "the Stables,"
in the first episode. (Remember the Higgins' idea of territorial prerogatives, what later turned
to be an ongoing motive of deals and punishments between Magnum and Higgins?).
With this exception this building never appeared in the episodes. All scenes made around
the entrance gate always avoided to show it. In real life this is the Caretaker House.
