fabled

Antelope Canyon, Arizona

as Dan mentioned yesterday while commenting on the previous image, the fabled canyon is a very busy place...there are hundreds of visitors, but the crowda are held back here and there by the guides of a photo tour, such as the four of us joined (the cost was comparable to renting a hotel room!!)...even then, there were 10 or 12 photographers jockeying for position in the very narrow spaces, and the guide rushed the group forward at an alarming rate...we persisted and everyone got an image or two, but the going was tough...evidence of the high speed adventure is clear in this image, as absolutely nothing is in sharp focus...when you have 30 or 40 seconds to frame up, focus, and correct exposure settings, the odds are definitely against you

Imagine the shots the people without guides get. The odds proved to be in your favor for this one. Nicely done~ ~BV~

Like most places out there, the crowds are thick and it's hard to make magic when being rushed along. V

You did a wonderful job with this photo. Sad to learn that the place is so crowded and so expensive to visit. It's such an amazing place I'm sure it's in high demand. Really like how you composed this. V

I had no idea this was such a busy place, you'd certainly not know by the people-free photo, and given your time restraints the shot is even more impressive. VV

Wonderful to enjoy this through your well composed and exposed image. I've heard so many horror stories about visiting Antelope Canyon I prefer to enjoy it through the images of others, so thank you David. "V"

You did well considering the crush of people and some tight spaces.

Good capture of these fabulous rock formations in spite of the hurried conditions forced on you. I hate tours like that.

You did it well in spite the conditions. The exposure gives a great delicateness to the rocks formation. BV.
( This place is one of my dreams when I think about a travel to USA.)

you have found the right angle of view highlighting the tortuous shapes of rocks and shades of colors, despite the influx of tourists. V

Nice work, shame about the pressure of the tour

Despite high level stress, you did an amazing job capturing the complexity of light, shadow and form in this wonder of the American southwest.
