retro

False Creek, Vancouver

on impulse I went retro, and loaded a B&W emulsion into the F80...over a few days re-experienced the fun and uncertainty of shooting film

Can't image going retro ! Great result David - it would be interesting to take the same scene digital to compare. I guess the tonal quality is where the difference is ? Love the busy Granville Is. scene V

"Uncertainty" is the key word for me (always kept my fingers crossed I had not wasted too much film)! But I do love B&W and this sharply detailed and well composed image is terrific. V

You got a great capture with excellent clarity and tones. Interesting how it's fun now to go back in time after most people got on the digital train.

PS - I still have my N80 ( what the F80 was called in the US)

Awesome! Where did you get it processed or did you do it yourself? ~BV~

Nice photograph. I still like the feel one gets from B & W film. I have the same camera and you have motivated me to take it along on this weekend's shoot. Since I have to send the film to Vancouver for developing, it will be few weeks before I can show off any of the images. V

Nice result with the film and a very effective composition as well. "V"
