transformation

Jericho Beach Park

this place has undergone quite a transformation over recent decades...now a peaceful seaside park, during WW2 it was the Jericho Beach Air Station, from which RCAF Squadron 4 launched flying boats and seaplanes to train pilots and also patrol the British Columbia coast...a large pier was recently removed, and only a few buildings remain from that era, with most of the land now restored to a more natural state, thereby acting as a home to much wildlife, and a relaxing environment for local people

No sign of the former military activities the took place here. Perhaps there is some hope for our planet, but I think that's unlikely.V
