reminder

the campfire-like torch where the Olympic flame burned two years ago during the Winter Games is rarely lit now...still it sits by the downtown waterfront as a reminder of the event

Looks like you framed it optimally! A fascinating vision. ~BV~

Nicely composed to see the mountains through the leaning posts. The structure reminds me of the poles of a tepee. V

Forms and angles create a fascinating composition. On what occasions might this be lit now?

Strong metallic presence against the great natural background. Superbly taken. V.

That's a lovely sculpture that holds the Olympic flame...
would be nice to light it annually to illuminate Vancouver Harbour as a reminder...V

So cool looking at the mountains through the steel! Too bad it's not lit often...

Love it.

Ah yes, the fabled Olympics - what a farce! I like the snow-capped mountains that it's framing though :o)

I see the campfire now:0). Shame if it's not lit often.
It makes an interesting foreground and the mountains behind cap it all off!

Great shot - with the snowy mountains to make the setting
