Denman Island

it was quite a scramble several hundred feet down a steep coastal cliff to reach the southern end of the island...beyond the sandy beach was another tricky walk on barnacle-encrusted rocks, revealed at low tide, to reach this vantage point...just offshore sits Chrome Island with a lighthouse, first established in 1890, the keeper's house, and several out-buildings...to the right at water's edge a blue heron is also enjoying the view

So glad that you pointed out the heron: a few lines from another Dylan:
"Woke to my hearing from harbour and neighbour wood
And the mussel pooled and the heron
Priested shore..."
this image is lovely, with the isolation and sparsely habited beauty of Chrome Island beyond the wide expanse of rocks, set so far back yet possible to swim to and well worth a strenuous crawl.

Live on that island ?
I would say a dream , away from all .

What a splendid little island , lighthouse site, and communications center! The rocky foreground places it in a very nautical setting. V
