This Henkogram of my 1976 D-50 shows the upper bout racing pattern introduced in mid-1974,
with a two piece neck block extending all the way to the transverse brace and two "wing
braces" extending from the transverse brace to the curfed lining of the top.
Note the three sound hole braces underlying the rosette: two flanking the sound hole (one
hidden by the pickguard) and one beneath it just above where the X-braces intersect (compare
to the sound hole reinforcement plate on my '94 DV-72). The rosewood bridgeplate appears
somewhat smaller than that plate on my D-35. The positions of the tone bars and lateral
braces also differ slightly from those in my '72 D-35.
Nine LED puck lights were used for this image.
