Early this morning it started snowing here. It was so quiet that we did not realise straight away. It snowed for about an hour, only a thin dusting, but it has stayed all day and along with the frost is a pretty sight. Attaching 2 photos ( this one and one following ) - one of the ships at the end of our road and the other taken on the way to the supermarket, Albert Heijn, which is in the old Corn Exchange building. In the photo that is the back of Albert's on the left and the A Kerk (an old church) on the right.
Skating has started and we have seen some. Plenty more to come... it is staying cold.
Happy New Year to you all ... we watched Sydney try to blow up the harbour bridge a couple of hours ago on TV ... and now the locals are revving up the explosions here.
Tot ziens
