Liverpool

On the last leg of my trip across England I travelled from Sheffield to Liverpool. The train was the worst ever - like a little wind up train, and very cold. An I arrived to heavy, heavy rain. I've had an earache all week so as soon as I arrived I went off in search of the NHS drop-in centre. 'not infected but a dull eardrum'...... I never thought an eardrum would be anything but dull!

When I eventually got to my hotel room the sun had come out for about 30 minutes so I snapped this through the window. I have no idea what it is, but it's very beautiful and dead opposite Liverpool Lime Street Station.

I saw this building too on a visit to Liverpool a few weeks ago when I accompanied Laura as "sidekick" photographer to reference the International Slavery Museum on which she was doing a project (they were happy for me to take as many photographs as I wanted) It was raining when we went too! This is an excellent shot...love the composition and the lighting.

It's one of my favourite buildings in Liverpool - St George's Hall. It has the most amazing milton tiled floor inside, which is kept covered up for most of the year because of it's value - but is opened to the public occasionally. You may be able to have a look inside - there is an entrance next to the lime street station underground entrance near your hotel. The other end of the building is where I took my photo - William Brown Street - and that has the old Law court, library, museum (free and nice) - and the garden behind it is nice and photogenic as well (as long as you miss the rain!) Nice photo anyway and have a nice trip to Liverpool Gail...

Only been to Liverpuddle once, it threw it down on me too! Hope the ear-ache's better!
Nice golden light on the whatever-it-is building :)
