The discovery of "Frimpongeer's Code"
Delft (The Netherlands)
As you probably might remember,
I decided to come to visit Delft not only for the beauty of this lovely Dutch town,
but also for investigate about my Dutch ancestors,
who were familiar with one of my favourite painter, Jan Vermeer.
I was lucky...analysing carefully many sign left by Master Vermeer in his painting,
here in Delft, hidden in Vermeer’s centre,
I found a precious copy of
“Frimpongeer’s Code.
From these ancient pages it appears clear
that most of the original paintings of Vermeer
were portraits of my ancestors
and only later Vermeer made copies, using human models.
Following the directions of Frimpongeer’s Code
I could find, with great emotion three of the originals missed painting.
You can see them here and in the description of the two following photos...
Of course they’ll be hung up on the walls of my abode in London,
since they belong, beyond any doubts, to my family.
You can see in the painting “the Procuress”, my ancestors Dame Claasjepong.
The experts say that Vermeer portrayed himself as the character on the left.
