My host told me to sit here so he could take a lovely picture of me for my album.
Since he’s much bigger than me, I decided not to argue, also because I like his beer and he kindly offers it to me every day. Nevertheless I wonder what impression you can have looking at me in the middle of nowhere, bucolic landscape, no noises, but we could be in Shropshire….
I’ll take advantage of this peaceful break to bring you up to date about some local habits, they are not familiar with bears, even though I’m a very distinguished one and I always wear a tie.
They have no bears, no foxes… it must be a paradise for rabbits for this reason.
I was told that this country is very suitable for any new kind of animal that lands here by chance, so they multiply freely, since their usual predators don’t exist here. It’s what happened with rabbits, for instance.
I wonder, in case I decided to remain here, if in a couple of generations New Zealand could be full of thousands of Frimpongs…
No risk, I’m a traveller, I have no roots….
