By the time I was finished shooting this bird I was sure it was familiar with the 'Hide and Seek' game I played as a youngster....and it had the advantage of size and a thicket of blackberry bushes. It finally peeked out just long enough for a 'full-body' shot and then disappeared back into the depths of the thicket. Towhee facts: Towhees are long-tailed skulkers found in thickets, where they are rarely seen but are often heard noisily scratching for food on the ground (yep...the rarely seen part was sure true today!).
