The international space station transits the sun as seen from the ground in Milwaukee on March 17, 2010 in this four-frame composite. At the moment, the station was 325 miles away. I shot this photo with a Sigma 500mm f/4.5 lens and a JMB Identi-View solar filer. Attached to the lens was an Imaging Source DMK firewire camera. At the left is sunspot number 1054.
