To photograph the space station transit, I placed my 500mm f/4.5 Sigma lens in a home-made cradle that holds it firmly onto a Losmandy G11 mount. The small blue square box at tail end of the lens is an Imaging Sourc DMK AF3103 firewire camera. It can send 30 frames per second to my MacBook via the firewire cable. The equipment is set up near the Marcus Ampitheater in Milwaukee, where moments before it recorded a solar transit of the International Space Station.
