Lots of fences like this in my neck of the woods - horse and cattle farms. I'm always tempted to stop but rarely do because of the difficulty of finding a safe pull off. This one is on a little country road near Rectortown, Virginia. The curving line of the fence hugging the hillside as it meanders down to a stream (and railroad crossing) got my attention - turn on the hazard flashers; pull on to the grassy shoulder; how bad can it be when there's maybe one car every 5-10 minutes? Taken from an embankment about 15-20 feet above the road - nearly straight down; don't step back.
The last time that I stopped on this road resulted in this "fun" image - http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/53889344
