The Denver Botanic Gardens hosts a pumpkin sale each fall. This handsome fellow was sitting on
top of the pile (yes, I did buy it). The Gardens are one of Denver's premier attractions.

Question: Is a pumpkin a fruit or a vegetable?
Answer: Botanically-speaking, it it has seeds it's a fruit. So pumpkins, squash, tomatoes,
cucumbers, and even green beans are all fruits, whereas carrots and celery, for example,
are vegetables (no seeds).
