To the northeast of the Al Merjeh or Martyrs Square, there is another open space, a bit more dilapidated (but it's being upgraded, I noticed a difference five months after an earlier visit), but with a well restored building, that I have been informed is the Hammam al-Qaramani, early Ottoman (1562/2).
