Baniyas - بانياس -is a small and pleasant coastal town (within very easy reach by minibus from Tartus) I only visited in order to visit the Qalaat Marqab, a castle in the mountains in its back. It rained when I arrived, a bit later weather improved a lot. I am certain there is some more to see than the few pictures I show. In the Marqab gallery you will find several views of the town taken from on high.
