Sarcophagus of Belevi. Hellenistic, mid-3rd century BC.

Found in the grave chamber of the Belevi Mausoleum (14 km NE from Ephesus).

The sarcophagus has been ikdentified by archaeologuists as that of Antiochos II Theos, the Seleucidic king that died in 246 BC in Ephesus.

Marble, 268 x 258 cm, 120 cm high..
