On the south side of the bridge there are the remains of two caravansaries. I did not locate the western one of them, which according to my guidebook is the more important, but in a bad state. The eastern one supposedly is in a better state, well, this is it. It was thought to be built by unbelieving tradesmen and hence was called the "kafirbina" (building by unbelievers). Indeed Genoa had a trading post in Misis.
