4/24/10: Robbin's gallery is now closed forever due to numerous inappropriate comments being posted by numerous individuals personally attacking each other and both sides are guilty of doing it.

What was supposed to be posting of memories and casual banter back and forth among friends turned into a nightmare of foul crude language, totally false and half-false accusations, veiled and real threats, etc. I felt like I was back at Palm Springs Junior High for the past couple of days. To add insult to injury I was accused of aiding each side by failing to remove certain comments or because I didn't delete comments fast enough. I loved (not!) being accused of possibly being a "fight promoter" too.

I deleted a ton of comments before I went out to run several errands late Saturday afternoon. I returned and painted my lower roof until dark and then I went out again on other errands. I came back home, signed on to the site and the gallery was chock full with 135 more inappropriate foul mouthed comments and accusations. As they say, that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Except for Jeff, if you posted on Saturday afternoon and evening then you contributed to the demise of the gallery.

Bah, humbug! I would much rather spend my limited available PC time working on old photos and adding them to the site than policing this one gallery countless times per day to remove inappropriate comments all day long and risk being involved in a lawsuit if I fail to remove certain comments in a timely manner. I do have a life away from the PC, believe it or not, and I am not willing to risk losing the entire site over the low class shenanigans in one comments gallery. It was mostly fun while it lasted but like a lot of good things it has now come to an end. You'll have to find another website, blog, chat board or whatever to post on because my patience and hospitality have run out.


All comments entered after this gallery comes back online will be deleted no matter who sent them. Please don't waste your time and my time.
