Thank you to George Masek and Ken Eckert for contributing this image of a postcard written by Ken's uncle, SSgt Harold Grotzinger to his sister Martha Grotzinger (Ken's mother) about brother PeeWee's wedding. Note the free postage for military members during World War II.

I am Ken's cousin, the daughter of 'Pee Wee.' I would like to correct your information here. The occasion Uncle Harold is writing about to his sister, Martha (my godmother), is my dad's graduation from Officers' Candidate School. As you can see, the postcard is dated January 7, 1944. To clarify, Edwin, nicknamed 'Pee Wee,' married my mother on September 24, 1942.
