The 1951 era bridge on NW 36th Street is still in use.

Other points to notice. The bridge across the river at LeJeune Road was not yet built; Lejeune stops at 36th St. The old wood National Airlines Hangar on the east side of LeJeune is visible. Later it was replaced with CBS construction and was subsequently donated to Miami Tech High School. This aviation school was named after National Founder G.T. Baker. The Atlantic Gas Station on the NE corner of LeJeune and 36th St is barely visible.
If I'm not mistaken, this particular lift bridge was used at NW 27th Avenue then NW 36th Street. It was later moved upstream to Miami Springs where it is still used today.

1950-1965. I remember this construction (Age 8). I had to take a public bus from the trailor park across from the Miami Jai Alai Fronton, over the tracks, and down okeechobee rd to 4th ave, then north to school. I watched the construction daily.
