Welcome Joan and thank you for your comments. And a big welcome to your dad Robert M. Reilly Sr. who probably knows more about old Miami than any of us. His comments would be most welcomed anywhere on this site that he sees fit to do so. And if he'd like to write a lot about his memories I'd be glad to post them in a separate gallery like I've done for Steve McDonald and his memories of Coral Gables and by Rose Farrell Taylor in the Hialeah gallery. Or he and you can send them to me in an e-mail to me at my e-mail address and I'll post them for you.

I'm sitting here with my dad, Robert M Reilly Sr., who is 92 years old and came to Miami Beach in 1922 when he was 6 years old. My husband found this website and knew my dad would enjoy immensely! He is and has lots of comments and additional information to give. He says this is the Florida Power and Light station that gave power to Miami Beach. He recognizes all the photos of old Miami Beach. Thanks so much for providing this wonderful site! It's fantastic! Thank you!
