I lived there in 1951 as a child and learned to ride a bike. Parent's moved to Brevard county and I have been there ever since. Great memories. Thank you so much.

This picture is amazing. I lived there when I was 14 or so. My dad built a trailer and it looked just like the one in front of the picture. the showers and bath were in the back in the center. There were real avocado trees out front. I loved them. I was eating blue crab one day under a palm tree there. All of a sudden I was attacked by a bunch of red ants. Wow did I head for the showers, clothes and all.At that time that was the outskirts of Miami. I went to Little River school. I'm 85

kinseeker, thanks for the reply. Earls Market was a larger store located on NW 79 St at 22 Ave. When I got out of college in '74, I worked in wholesale meats, and Earls was one of my accounts for Dirr's and Swift.

Bob, I believe that store was bought and the name changed to Earl's Market. It was on the corner of NW 12th Ave and 79th st. My dad worked there for a short time in 1971.

In this neighborhood in the early to mid 50's there was a grocery store called Mary's Market. It was somewhere between 12th and 15th Ave on NW 79th Street. It belonded to my Aunt Mary and Uncle Jim Barrett. Does anyone recall it or have any photos that might show it?
